Hello World

The following is my practice coding with Jen Simmons

My name is Danny Lee and I am learning how to code

Chp 1 Formatting Text

I am learning how to use paragraphs

Wonder how small this is

I am learning how to use bold and italic

This Replit AI is CRAAAAZZZZZY. It knows what I'm trying to code before I even get to it. You gotta wonder if it used key words like "Jen Simmons" and "Linkedin"

the whole visual and emphasis italic thing is a bit confusing.

i am now going to make an ordered and unordered list,

List of things

elementname attributename=""

You can also get very very specific with time and date like what is below

??? But what i don't understand is why we have to put time in that specific format? Like if the outcome is still "Wenesday, Nov 4th at 7p", why go through the hassle of coding the element withthe whole "datetime=2020-11-04 19:00-0500"?

element

<H4 element (this was supposed to show something else? html/code entities)

"you'll be fine"

- Danny Lee

roses are red, violets are blue why can't I just use "< p >" instead of " br " after each line?

the following is the test example of p

roses are red

violets are blue why can't I just use "< p >"

instead of " br " after each line?

the following is the test example of br

roses are red
violets are blue why can't I just use "< p >"
instead of " br " after each line?

- Danny Lee

Conclusion: The spacing is tighter with " br " than with "< p >"

  ABC
      DEFG
          HIJKLM
                NOPQURS

wow, I'm actually coding.

The following are examples of subscript and superscript

H20

This is small

2 58, 2 58

the following is an example of emphasis

I love lasagne

"< blockquote >" is a block-level element, while the element is inline, nested inside another block-level element. If you want to highlight a short quote, is great to use inside of a paragraph or other block-level element. "< blockquote >" is for when you want something bigger, to really stand out.

List Demonstration

HTML attributes

      1. Global attributes: attributes that can be applied to any HTML elements

      2. Class attribute: allows us to target all elements with that class in our CSS or Javascript
        < p class="intro" >
               this is the Introduction.
        < /p >

      3. ID attribute: allows us to target one element with that ID in our CSS or Javascript
        < p class="intro" id="article-intro">
               this is the Introduction.
        < /p >

      4. < blockqoute contenteditable="true" > allows us to edit the content of the blockquote
        < /blockqoute >

      5. something about "lang" that we'll get into in Chp 7

ARIA Roles

      1. ARIA roles are used to define the purpose of the element in the page.

      2. CSS layout

      4. So basically she's an assitant to clean up text code spams

Formatting HTML

      1. something about adding comments in code?
        a. add comment to code by typing in " < ! - - " with no space
      2. so for the most part, most tags require an opening and closing tag. however, there are some tags that do not require a closing tag. there are also some tages that don't have any content in between the opening and closing tag. Some tags have the closing slash in the same tag.

Weird Characters

      1. using characters that are also used in code like " > " or " < "

        a. " " is the entity code for the non-breaking space
a1. it allows you to basically hold two words together despite the space between them. throughout all the content in the code.

            screenshot
        2. to make a page the main page, you need to add "< nav role="navigation" ">
            a. you can also add "aria-label="main navigation" to the nav tag to make it more accessible.

Chp 5 Images and Graphics

images

        1. Need 3 main components
            a. "< img src " with image file/link
            b. "alt"

screenshot
The image above is an example of how to figure and figcaption all the while this caption is also an example. I beleive due to this notes section being under the "pre" tag, the text is going to visually run on.
